Jeffrey Willoughby

Jeff Willoughby is a Director at Forensic Resolutions, with over 20 years of public accounting experience providing forensic accounting, tax, audit, consulting and advisory services to small and mid-sized, privately-owned businesses, with the last twelve years devoted exclusively to forensic accounting.  Prior to joining Forensic Resolutions, Jeff worked for several small and mid-sized accounting firms in North Carolina and Delaware.
In addition to his public accounting experience, Jeff’s forensic accounting engagements include damage calculations, shareholder disputes, lost profits claims, fraud investigations, employee theft, vendor fraud, income tax fraud, asset misappropriation, insurance claims and accounting malpractice claims. Jeff has been accepted, and provided testimony, as an expert witness in state courts in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as in federal court.
Jeff has provided services to a wide variety of industries including, manufacturing, professional services, financial services, medical, distribution, construction, real estate, retail, dealerships, not-for-profits, and benefit plans.
Jeff received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting as well as a Master of Science in Accounting from Appalachian State University.  Jeff is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, as well as a Certified Fraud Examiner, and was awarded the Certified in Financial Forensics and Accredited in Business Valuation designations by the AICPA.
Jeff is a member of many professional organizations including the Delaware Society of CPAs, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the American Institute of CPAs. In addition, Jeff has taught for the Institute of Management Accountants, the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the AICPA, as well as written articles for various publications, on fraud and forensic accounting.
