James A. Stavros

Jim Stavros is a CPA with over 33 years experience in forensic accounting, serving as an expert witness and consulting expert in a variety of financial disputes. He has provided testimony at mediation, arbitration, trial and depositions in many cases involving claims for lost earnings, wrongful death, business income claims, property damages, inventory claims, breach of contract damages and damages relating to fraud.
Jim received a BS in Business Administration from Widener University in 1984 and a Masters in Business Administration from Rider University in 1988. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania, is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA and has supplemented his education with courses offered by the Pennsylvania and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, various County Bar Associations, Certified Fraud Examiners ,Philadelphia Chapter of CFE to organizations and other professional organizations.
Jim is a founding member of Forensic Resolutions, Inc. and has practiced with fellow Director and co-founder Howard Silverstone since 1988, most recently working for the national and international risk mitigation company of Kroll, Inc.. Prior to working with Kroll, Jim helped start the Philadelphia practice of Lindquist Avey Macdonald Baskerville, an international forensic and litigation accounting firm, which was acquired by Kroll in 1998. Prior to Lindquist Avey, Jim worked as an Associate in the Litigation and Insurance Services Department of Laventhol & Horwath and was a Lending Officer and Branch Manager of a Philadelphia based commercial bank. He has worked on matters throughout the United States for national, regional and local law firms, insurance companies and corporations.
Jim has spoken extensively and written articles on various topics such as personal injury and wrongful death damages, commercial damages, fraud and business income matters. He is a member of the AICPA, PICPA and NAFE Associations.
