Jeff Willoughby is a senior associate, with almost 20 years of public accounting experience providing forensic accounting, tax, audit, consulting and advisory services to small and mid-sized, privately-owned businesses, with the last four years devoted exclusively to forensic accounting.  Prior to joining Forensic Resolutions, Inc., Jeff worked for several small and mid-sized accounting firms in North Carolina and Delaware.  In addition to his public accounting experience, Jeff’s forensic accounting engagements include damage calculations, shareholder disputes, lost profits claims, fraud investigations, employee theft, vendor fraud, asset misappropriation and insurance claims. Jeff has been accepted and provided testimony as an expert witness in North Carolina and New Jersey.

Jeff has provided services to a wide variety of industries including, manufacturing, professional services, financial services, medical, distribution, construction, real estate, retail, dealerships, not-for-profits, and benefit plans.

Jeff received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting as well as a Master of Science in Accounting from Appalachian State University. Jeff is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, as well as a Certified Fraud Examiner, and was awarded the Certified in Financial Forensics designation by the AICPA.

Jeff is a member of many professional organizations including the Delaware Society of CPAs, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the American Institute of CPAs. In addition, Jeff has taught for the Institute of Management Accountants, as well as written articles for various publications, on fraud and forensic accounting.
