Forensic Resolutions, Inc. is dedicated to the field of forensic accounting. We serve as experts or consultants in matters relating to economic damages, fraud, insurance claims and a myriad of other financial disputes. Our services are also provided to clients proactively, in the hope of avoiding disputes, such as pre-acquisition due diligence.
We apply an investigative mindset to all engagements and are professional skeptics. We rely on counsel to provide the parameters of law, along with any other legal documents which are relevant to the matter at hand. Each case has its own special set of problems and solutions. We employ a complete approach to every assignment: gathering information - analysis - corroborating our analysis - writing clear and understandable expert reports - communicating our findings in Court, where necessary. As independent experts, we are advocates for our position, not advocates for our client.
Forensic Resolutions was formed by Howard Silverstone and Jim Stavros, who have worked together since 1988. Both have testified in a wide variety of matters, ranging from complex commercial litigation to fraud investigations and insurance claims matters. Both have written and spoken extensively on various forensic accounting issues.
Howard Silverstone is the co-author of the book “Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation for Non-Experts” (published by Wiley in 2004); the author of the second edition of “Fraud 101 – Techniques and Strategies for Detection” (published by Wiley in March 2005); and co-author of “Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation for Non-Experts – Second Edition” (published by Wiley in November 2006).
The history of a variety of assignments in many industries and jurisdictions, together with our independence and objectivity, provide us with a unique capability to serve our clients. |
